Kemper is seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Information Technology for our Jacksonville office. This Senior Manager focuses on working with Data solution projects including modelling, mapping, CDC data replication and ETL software development of computing technologies in AWS to deliver projects in throughout Kemper. The role heavily focuses on planning, estimation, design and execution of business analysis and application development activities for various projects. There will be new development and production support aspects to this role with onshore and offshore staffing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of employees and onshore/offshore contractors to execute various projects within the Kemper data space
• Provide quality, timely and cost-effective Information Systems services in support of the company mission and strategies.
• Leads coordination of Information Systems resources and projects with customers, vendors and other Information Systems areas.
• Mentor, manage and lead business systems analysts, data analysts and ETL engineers
• Ideate, influence, plan and execute project initiatives
• Represent the company externally with Industry bodies and other partners.
• Ability to work with many disparate sources of data to conform into common entities based on data contracts

Qualifications

• 7+ years of personnel management experience
• 7+ years of experience in leading multiple Data ETL projects
• Education equivalent to a college degree in computer science or related field, or the equivalent in related work experience
• Experience leading and building Information Systems delivery organizations
• Demonstrated leadership qualities communicating and reporting at the business and IT executive level
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects to successful delivery
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with stakeholders and senior business leadership of departments and customers participating in this project
• Ability to organize and work effectively with project teams made up of internal staff and/or external parties (claims product, vendors, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience and relevant expertise in the configuration and deployment of Information Systems business solutions
• Demonstrated experience with vendor management and contract structuring
• Ability to build consensus among business and technology stakeholders
• Experience with data mapping, lineage and modelling
• Experience with data governance and management
• Experience with data controls, balances and quality
• Experience with AWS/snowflake a plus
• Experience with IICS preferred
