Job Description Summary

The Sr Manager IT Driveline Operations serves as the primary IT interface with Driveline Operations management. This role provides leadership and vision to position the IT team as a significant contributor to business success through implementation of strategies, processes and enablement of information systems and technologies

This leader interacts with the business capturing its requirements, understanding the business processes and information needs and develops and deploys information systems solutions that add value to the business by improving operational excellence, enhancing decision support processes and improving collaboration tools. They will be responsible for understanding and evaluating complex business functions and processes, information systems implementation methodologies, industry standards and best practices, automotive industry trends and emerging technologies, melding these to form a set of comprehensive and coherent plans to support and further the business capabilities.

This role has responsibility for coordinating IT budgets for the Driveline business. Working with the functional areas, developing capacity planning, documenting costs related to business activities, thus enabling more informed decisions on business needs.

The Sr Manager Driveline Operations owns the IT processes and solutions supporting delivery to the end customer. This requires a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes across the automotive landscape. The individual in this role works closely with corporate and plant teams globally to drive standard solutions, benchmark best practices and drive operational improvement. The role coordinates with other process managers representing other functional areas to ensure seamless IT solutions.

Job Description

  • Effectively manages relationships with key business partners in matters relating to business processes, systems and solutions
  • Aligns internal IT support team resources (process lead, business analysts, solution architect)
  • Manages various business demands through value and prioritization.
  • Drives an "Innovation Mindset" in all aspects of the position
  • Assists in the definition and delivery of the IT Systems Roadmap for Driveline
  • Ensures successful execution of IT projects and programs
  • Drives global standards and harmonization
  • Develops process and application integration plans
  • Conducts comprehensive requirements gathering
  • Interfaces and coordinates tasks with internal and external resources
  • Develops deep understanding of Driveline business operations strategy and aligns to IT Strategy Roadmap
  • Manages all aspects of IT budgets (Expense & Capital)
  • Consults with users, management, vendors & technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements
  • Implements measures to motivate employees and to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency
  • Develops computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

Qualifications

  • 5+ years manufacturing experience (automotive industry preferred)
  • 5+ years managing enterprise IT services, products, or projects
  • 5+ years managing or supervising associates / teams
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle applications or similar ERP application
  • Knowledge and/or experience with plant floor systems, manufacturing processes, operational planning and delivery execution
  • Customer service focused
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience creating technology roadmaps and considering business requirements
  • Experience driving technology adoption and reporting on workplace technology adoption
  • Proven experience defining, measuring, and managing service level agreements and KPIs
  • Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering or PLC Programing - preferred
  • Able to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt quickly to change in a dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to blend innovation, creativity, problem solving, and technical skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels

Education

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field preferred
