Current Need

Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Position Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT System Manager to oversee the Change control process, monitor cloud spend, and provide leadership to teams of system engineers and DevOps engineers. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional managerial skills, and the ability to drive efficient and effective system operations.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our systems, as well as optimizing cloud costs. The Senior IT System Manager will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining best practices, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the smooth running of our technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Has a track record as a coach, mentor, and developer of talent Someone who loves to get into the weeds, proactively come up with practical solutions, and work alongside their team to get the work done.
  • Manages the production systems security, reliability, scalability and costs along with reporting, configuration and deployment of solutions. This responsibility includes the pre-production, test and development environments, as well as the continuous integration and deployment processes
  • Is accountable for all aspects of deployment and technical operations including costs, technical project resources (partners/subcontractors or staff), scheduling, risk management, internal and external communications, and status reporting. It is expected that you will automate delivery, monitoring and reporting.
  • Tracking of infrastructure availability, performance and capacity as well as making recommendations to improve system health.
  • Proactive monitoring, logging, audits, and automated policy enforcement for security and cost compliance. Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives.
  • Establishment of standards and processes for operations that proactively prevent problems from occurring Identifies technical and process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards, and socialize/advocate to get them implemented
  • Evaluates technological choices by querying providers, analyzing technologies and providing evaluations of each solution that include ROI evaluations
  • Provides technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solution


Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Critical Skills
  • 9 years of experience in IT system management, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with Cloud native applications and architectures Critical Skills
  • 3+ years' experience working with and supporting change control management.
  • 2+ years' experience working with cloud cost optimization.
  • 5+ years' experience with system engineering and DevOps


Additional Skills
  • Critical thinker, root cause analysis, and strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and drive optimal solutions, while working in a constrained environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaborative within a cross-functional environment.
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent time management and organizational skills Expert technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and tools. (i.e. Dynatrace, SolarWinds, PA Monitor, Open Systems, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Healthcare industry experience with knowledge of PHI and HIPAA, a plus
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure components
  • Proficiency in reviewing code in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python •
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices for ensuring system stability, availability, and security
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide guidance and mentorship to existing team members.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$111,900 - $186,500
