The US Customer Growth Marketing Team, within the Consumer Marketing Services group, strives to deliver marketing on behalf of the enterprise that makes American Express essential to our Card Members; specifically, responsible for driving revenue growth from existing customers through spend and lend treatments, while ensuring we retain our best customers.
The Sr. Manager, Customer Growth Marketing Strategy will join a group of hardworking, passionate marketers rallied behind goals to leverage the customer as a platform for growth - driving revenue generating spend treatments to hit aggressive targets in incremental billed business and fee revenue. The Sr. Manager will be accountable for developing the strategy and building recommendations to drive revenue across our growth treatments. This individual will focus on the customer segmentation, analytics and insights across Charge, Co-brand and Prop Lending products to inform our strategy. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Customer Marketing Analytics, Customer Marketing teams, as well as Card Product Management and Risk teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create strategic recommendations for leadership that will drive customer revenue
- Lead investment optimization decisions to deliver against the most profitable customer treatments
- Partner closely with Customer Marketing Analytics, Finance, Risk and Customer Growth Marketing teams to develop executable strategies

- Experience and comfort in developing strategies in whitespace
- Self-starter with superior attention to detail and outstanding customer orientation
- Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills
- Strong thought leadership with existing strategy skills
- Ability to partner and build internal relationships and influence key stakeholders while thriving in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
- Exceptional leadership with a proven track record of generating followership within and across the organization
- Possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to synthesize strategic information and tell a strong story with quantitative and qualitative evidence
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
