The Role
AXS is seeking a Sr. Manager, Paid Media & Analytics to join our Global Data and Analytics team. Â
Our Sr Manager, Paid Media & Analytics is responsible for marketing strategy, audience development, testing & reporting, and creative development. This role will also drive e-commerce revenue, acquisition, and achieving channel profitability goals to hit targets to continue to drive channel growth. This role will actively collaborate with cross-functional partners across the organization to develop innovative new digital e-commerce tools and a comprehensive acquisition, email, and product marketing calendar.
What Will You Do?
MARKETING STRATEGY:Â
- Drive the development of cross-channel paid media strategies, budget allocation, audience architecture, creative strategy, KPI development, and measurement frameworks
- Develop a deep understanding of our businesses, industries, and competition.
- Partner with Senior Director of Consumer Marketing & MarTech Strategy to plan business and marketing goals along with reporting on KPIs
- Ensure the digital strategy aligns with the brand and business's long-term strategic goals
- Bridge with internal teams and partners cross-functionally to ensure initiatives get executed seamlessly
- Manage and allocate the budget and ensure the best return on investment; Utilize analytics to report on campaign & site KPIs, behavior, and trends to make informed decisions on optimizations; communicate to the team, and management on strategy, timelines, learnings, and results
- Develop and communicate plans and execution to the leadership team
- Collaborate with creative teams on conversion rate optimization strategies and new feature build-out
- Work with the agency to build testing plans for new features and optimizations and execute those test
- Manage AXS.com projects, including website personalization and SEO initiatives
- Collaborate/lead initiatives across Marketing, Creative, Analytics, Product, and Operations that will improve conversions
- Maintain relationships with partners and external resources that support our acquisition (ticket sales) marketing strategy
- Manage the day-to-day workflow, performance, and strategy of our paid media campaigns; Work with our media partners to manage media buying and campaign execution
- Oversee paid media advertising budget and lead strategy by innovating testing, continuing to ideate, test, iterate and optimize to grow revenue and new customer acquisition
- Oversee resale paid media budget and provide budget recommendations based on campaign performance
- Fulfill technical builds and requirements within marketing platforms such as Hightouch to bridge the gap between BI and marketing so we can create a self-serve marketing independent infrastructure
- Identify new marketing opportunities based on customer, marketplace, and business needs
- Stay atop the latest trends across advertising best practices (i.e., bidding methodologies, budget allocation, etc.) and remain current on trends in the digital marketing landscape
- Partner with BI to provide campaign insights and data-driven recommendations
- Lead and inspire a growth marketing team, champion excellence, foster team engagement, and support individual development.
AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT:
- Lead audience strategy & build through Hightouch for paid media and email marketing automated campaigns
- Able to edit SQL queries within Hightouch with the willingness to gain intermediate knowledge of the language to expose & build models for complex use cases.
TESTING & REPORTING:Â
- Create and manage reporting dashboards and conduct ongoing analysis to monitor the performance of campaigns
- Optimize our new customer strategy, from paid ads to website CRO, cultivating a disciplined A/B testing framework
- Identify new opportunities to test and scale while meeting KPIs across channels
- Measure and report on campaign results and other testing mechanisms to provide suggestions, learning, and insights with cross-functional teams
- Own the pixel implementation process for internal and external clients across all their properties
- Lead API integrations, data accuracy, and reporting from paid media platforms.
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT:Â
- Partner with design and content teams to create high-impact event assets based on key performance insights and campaign strategies; Oversee QA process of creative assets
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION:Â
- Manage marketing coordinator and intern

What Will You Bring?
- 5-7 years’ experience working in paid media advertising comprising of media activation, multi-channel experience preferred (search, social, programmatic)
- Extensive experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns across brand and performance objectives
- Experience leading cross-channel client engagements with minimal oversight
- Experience working closely with agency partners on integrated strategy, planning, and measurement
- Experience with ad servers (Doubleclick) and web analytics platforms
- Experience working with analytics teams on granular program tracking and performance dashboard creation
- Expertise in audience planning, testing & analytics (Audience Manager, Target, Analytics) is preferred.
- Ample campaign analysis experience applied toward leading optimizations & reporting on KPIs
- Experience leading, coaching, and/or developing high performing teams
- Technical knowledge of e-commerce websites, pixels, tagging, web analytics and digital marketing/advertising methodologies
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and respond to situations quickly
- Competency in analytics techniques such as time-series data analysis, A/B test design, and segmentation
- Knowledge of media planning tools (MRI, Comscore, Nielsen, etc)
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Understanding of media planning principles and core marketing concepts
- Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills
- Beginner SQL for exposing data to build audience segments for our marketing campaigns is preferred
