Summary of Position

The Senior Manager, People Process & Technology is both a strategic and hands-on role, where the incumbent will be a team player responsible for Workday maintenance and support, ensuring we have the right systems and processes in place. The Senior Manager, People Process & Technology will interface with employees at all levels of the organization and work alongside the People team. The role requires both strategic planning and tactical execution and is comfortable with hands-on responsibilities and leading projects by planning, organizing, implementing, and managing specific solutions that make an impact. The Senior Manager, People Process & Technology adapts quickly to a changing environment, takes a global view, is data driven and technically savvy and has a passion for optimizing process and structure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of Workday technology product lines to include, but not limited to: HCM, Security, Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Integrations.
  • Direct and enhance the delivery of Workday Support across our offerings.
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships, working closely with the People Innovation leadership to manage project plans and effectively support Workday configurations.
  • Analyze business requirements, offer solutions and documentation, and guide best practices
  • Stay abreast of Workday system releases & enhancements. Anticipate needs across businesses to influence decisions and recommend process improvements.
  • Develop and mentor the People Process & Technology Support Team, overseeing performance metrics and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve issues, including escalation management, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Manage third-party vendors and contractors to support service delivery.
  • Lead and mentor Workday Analyst team by providing direction, career path conversations and guidance, and develop effective training plans.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Yes this person will manage both full-time employees and consultants.

Qualifications Required for Position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of Workday: Business process configuration, compensation and reporting.
  • Background in, and strong understanding of, broad Human Resource systems and data flow.
  • Seven-plus years’ experience in a lead role and three to five years managerial or project management experience, within a Corporate environment of similar size/complexity.
  • Able to make decisions, while balancing business requirements, project timelines, budgets, and technology roadmaps.
  • Embrace innovation by seeking new or contrary ideas/approaches to what has been done in the past.
  • Service mindset coupled with ability to find “win-win” solutions. 
  • Self-starter who can effectively navigate a complex organizational structure.
  • Curious and driven to continuously learn and stay current with new technologies.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Process improvement advocate.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to and handling employee data.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education – Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Workday Certification (HCM).
  • Minimum of five-plus years Workday-related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge with: Internet Explorer, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and MS Project. 
  • Experience with effectively presenting information to groups of employees, and responding to questions from employees, managers, clients and vendors.

Work Environment

We are open to remote and hybrid candidates.

The base salary range for this position is $165,000-175,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
