Our office in Lincoln, RI is seeking a Sr Marketing Budget Analyst. This role is responsible for maintaining our Marketing and Communications budget. This role will work closely with the Marketing and Communications team, Accounting department, Senior Management and external agency partners to develop strategic budget plans and track expenditures against plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and budgeting techniques and processes.
This position is a 37.5 hour work week Monday through Friday between the core hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days work from home.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team to develop budgets aligned with strategic objectives and key targets.
- Ensure budget is up-to-date and accurate, tracks plan vs. actual and budget allocations.
- Partner with team to ensure programs are tracked and coded accordingly.
- Partner with stakeholders on budget scenario planning.
- Partner with accounting for timely reconciliation, payments, accruals and forecasting.
- Collaborate with agency of record to ensure credits align and reviews quarterly reconciliation report.
- Work with external vendors to manage billing processes and processing of invoices.
- Refine guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure effective budget management and control.
- Conduct regular spend analyses and/or partners with analytics team to do so.
- Prepare and present budget reports, variance analyses and forecasts to senior management.
- On board new partners and obtain all the proper paperwork the accounting and procurement teams need.
- May be called upon to handle other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in related roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficient in using financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, budgeting software).
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, budgeting techniques and financial management practices.
