As a Marketing Business Analyst reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, you will provide the marketing organization with the critical data, analysis and insights to inform the global marketing strategy. In this role, you will work alongside the Chief Marketing Officer, Marketing, Finance. Sales and Operations leadership to gleam insights into the health of the business and drive Pure through its next exciting stage of growth.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting and Analytics

  • Distill Pure’s vast expanse of marketing, sales and customer data into critical insights that inform business decisions and drive strategy.
  • Use expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data visualization to see beyond the numbers and understand the customer buying lifecycle with Pure’s products.
  • Work in collaboration with like minded people across the company to develop an aligned point of view on Pure’s business.
  • Analyze all marketing programs and tactics to determine their effectiveness in driving engagement, product adoption and retention.
  • Become a subject matter expert on marketing data and lead the data effort to build various Attribution (Multi-Touch, Last Touch), Data-Driven models.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline performance, providing critical insights on the health of the business and potential opportunities for performance optimization.
  • Support and prepare marketing leaders and key stakeholders for critical events, such as business reviews and cross-organizational interlocks.
  • Formulate addressable market measurements for Pure’s products and solutions.
  • Define and govern global wide segmentation strategy.
  • Consolidate and enable predictive modeling action-able for campaign execution.

Data Hygiene and Maintenance

  • Validate and analyze the accuracy of account, contact and product data maintained in various databases, and help drive a strategy to develop a best in class data strategy.
  • Locate incomplete, invalid, inaccurate, incorrect and duplicate account, contact and product data elements using a variety of applications and databases.
  • Work closely with Pure staff outside your group and/or customers to reconcile data quality issues.
  • Interaction with other groups such as IT, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Vendors will be necessary in some cases to facilitate data quality improvements.
  • Proactively assess opportunities for potential improvements in analytics processes, data quality and data sources/tools.

IDEAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 8 + years’ experience in multiple marketing and operational roles.  B-to-B tech industry/SaaS environment experience preferred.
  • Results-driven with ability to influence leadership action with data + storytelling.
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal) - able to take analysis and communicate key findings or learnings in impactful way.
  • Extensive experience with marketing automation, CRM and business intelligence / reporting systems (Marketo, SFDC and Tableau preferred).
  • Proven marketing data management and segmentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across the company, including regional and global marketing teams, sales and IT.
  • BS or BA in a business discipline. 
  • Ability to travel 10% to 15% of time.
