Sr Marketing Manager, Direct Response Media
Job Description
The Opendoor Paid Media team is creating a new role for a Senior Marketing Manager who can drive ambitious growth goals for Opendoor. The role will have a particular focus to lead Opendoor’s largest and high impact digital program, Paid Search.  This role is rooted in leadership, strategy, data analytics, critical thinking and complex problem solving. This role reports to the Direct Response Media Lead Marketing Channel Lead, and sits within a team of experienced leaders across media, marketing strategy, lifecycle and content marketing.
Qualifications:You can seamlessly move from strategy to execution to measurement to impact, managing large scale paid channel investments. You own the channel strategy and roadmap including targeting, creative, budget management and experimentation strategy. You can independently run and operate a channel strategy with proven experience managing paid channels across Opendoor’s business. You are a team player who can wear multiple hats, and act from ownership to drive efficient growth.Â
Role Responsibilities:- Paid Search Strategy: From inception to launch, you will lead the Paid Search Channel, partnering closely with Marketing, Marsci, Finance, Operations and Procurement. Paid Search Strategy will focus on managing the entire program across brand and non brand media by crafting the most effective targeting, content, experimentation and solutions.Â
- Paid Search Channel Management Strategy: Manage & optimize paid search channels across all lines of business, coordinating with internal partners to develop new programs that drive incremental growth. Nail paid search channel basics through a defined playbook and schedule. Leverage creative, targeting and data strategies to scale channels to new heights. Monitor performance, and roadmap a channel playbook to optimizations rooted in data and business insights. Work with data scientists to refine targeting bid management. Â
- Campaign Management: Step into managing a paid search campaign manager who will support pacing, optimization, execution & tactical campaign management functions.
- Partner Management:Â Fully manage paid search partner relationships, including managing a large and growing budget with Google and Microsoft.
- Experimentation Strategy: Partner with Data Science to establish an experimentation roadmap that is hypothesis-driven, and ensures robust tracking and measurement. Â
- Performance Tracking & Measurement: You understand complexities of data and act as a simplifier, realizing that data and insights are only powerful if they drive action. Partner with Marketing Science to develop end to end dashboarding and performance insights for presentation to senior management.Â
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in paid media.
- Proven experience in managing a paid media direct response channel, end to end.
- Channel management experience in digital advertising platforms, managing performance to drive results.
- Proven data analytics expertise.Â
- Strategic critical thinker and problem solver. You can be given an open-ended problem and structure and develop an action plan with limited direction.
- You must have an ownership mentality and collaborative working style.
- You are a strong project manager, successfully moving from inception to execution. This is enabled by your strong communication skills, organization, time management and ability to multitask. You have experience managing holistic cross-channel marketing projects tied to business objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across various departments (Marketing, Marketing Science, Finance)
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced and high growth environment
Remote roles in the US are available in all states EXCEPT Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, or any US Territories.Â
Compensation:The base salary range for this position in Colorado, Connecticut, Washington, and New Jersey is $152,000 - $209,000yr, and in California and New York City is $168,000 - $231,000 yr. Base salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
