POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Manager of Emerging Business Development is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing on opportunities related to our sustainability growth platform. The position works with functional departments, subject matter experts and field operations to identify opportunities to create the business cases for emerging business growth opportunities to support the Company's strategic operating model.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates business cases for programs and projects to support the Company's strategic growth plan and emerging businesses, including financial returns, capital requirements, project risks and project management.
- Identifies new partnership opportunities and manages proforma development, due diligence, and integration process for emerging businesses as a lever for market/industry entry.
- Collaborates with development teams and internal and external cross functional groups through project development and execution.
- Monitors the external environment and market assessment of new technologies while developing a network of partnerships with external parties for innovation and co-creation.
- Maintains awareness of market dynamics and competitor activities in areas where the Company conducts business.
- Attends industry trade shows, symposiums, conferences and participates in associations and trade groups.
- Sets expectations and priorities; interacts with decision-makers to ensure required deliverables are met according to project timeline commitments.
- Effectively communicates status and roadblocks in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in progressively responsible roles that required the analysis of data, budgeting, planning, proforma development, analysis of growth opportunities, processes to determine investment strategy and project management.
- Experience with project management and partnering with internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across various levels of the organization and with key external customers, vendors and consultants.
- Ability to think strategically, with a broad-market economics view of how business development is handled throughout North America.
- Ability to initiate and effectively manage projects, operations, and initiatives.
- Proficiency in partnering with business leaders to drive company strategies.
- Strong ethics and the ability to keep information confidential.
- Ability to deliver high value impact as member of a larger team, ensuring efforts support the strategy of the business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 years progressive financial experience including experience analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities.
