Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading a provider network strategy management & execution team to influence change to improve quality, and establish best practices for driving accountability across regulated network (Medicare, Medicaid, and Individual & Family Markets) strategic activities. This manager is responsible for providing divisional support for liaising with enterprise and local market resources in building provider network strategies, contracting development, network oversight functionalities, and other key reporting systems. This role will work with other leaders in the organization to identify and prioritize transformative cross-functional continuous improvement in support of provider network divisional goals and strategy. This leader should demonstrate extensive knowledge and proficiency in continuous improvement tools and techniques related to strategic planning, provider network contracting, organizational design and enhancements, resource management, and training design and delivery. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and instilling best practices and procedures based on industry and lessons learned. Working knowledge of governance standards and continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma, PDCA) and delivery methodologies (Agile) is essential as this position supports the ongoing evolution of governance and management by collaborating with local market network teams to ensure processes are available and developed; as well as managing change control of key process definition artifacts. This role is responsible and accountable for influencing, managing, and mentoring various stakeholders and leadership towards Medicaid, Medicare, and Individual & Family Markets provider network management and execution optimization.
Required Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 9 years IT and/or health care industry and/or large scale project/program management and/or process improvement. This should include 2 years playing lead role in program level delivery space, 2 years utilizing continuous improvement methodologies and 3 years of resource management experience.
- Demonstrates leadership experience to influence change.
- Ability to influence and execute while navigating organizational politics.
- Experience delivering transformative cross functional improvement projects within a matrixed organization
- Experience conducting lean workshops; 5S, KPI, Kaizen, VSM
- Analytical thinking and consultative problem solving.
- Understanding of iterative/agile delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of standards, procedures and policies (e.g., HIPAA., security standards and regulatory compliance tools and platforms.)
- Experience in process engineering and re-design.
- Ability to synthesize, simplify, and standardize complex concepts/processes and tie together solutions across systems.
- Ability to influence and execute while navigating customer relationships.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, and make trade-off decisions.
- Adaptability/ability to manage change.
- Teamwork and collaboration, Strong oral & written communications, Strategic vision, negotiation skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to Chicago and 10% of the time to our Oklahoma offices
- 2 years of prior supervisory or management experience.
- Strong provider network experience
- Prior experience with Medicare, Medicaid or Individual & Family Market (Retail)
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification
