Sr Mgr, Software Engineering

Job Summary
We are looking for a Sr Software Engineering Manager who is experienced at growing and enabling teams to build high availability, global solutions for consumers and enterprises. As Software Engineering Manager for our Analytics Products, you will be a self-motivated individual who influences and executes technical strategic objectives, while representing your department across the wider business groups.

Our Analytics engineering team is made up of talented developers who have built a comprehensive enterprise outcomes-based analytics platform that enables our customers to manage their business and achieve their financial and customer success goals. What You Will Do

• Leading mission focused teams of software engineers to improve the lives of Henry Schein One users and their patients through the creation of market leading solutions
• Lead and grow an offshore development team
• Help recruit and retain engineers to create a high performing engineering team
• Oversee team leaders and support them on their mission and delivery commitments
• Guide your engineering teams to practice continuous delivery and deployment
• Inspire, motivate and coach to enable continuous development of team leaders and their teams
• Ensure products are secure, compliance and reliable for Henry Schein One customers
• Collaborate with senior leaders across vision and strategy for your workstreams and products
• Partner with Product leadership to influence and understand strategic commitments of your teams
• Develop meaningful relationships and work across the business to influence others to aim for the best possible user experience
• Enable process and practice maturity to deliver on global growth opportunities
• Positively and collaboratively influence decision making to improve practices with your teams, department, and stakeholder network

Qualifications
Must Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent professional work experience
• 10+ years of increasing responsibility and complexity in software development with 3 or more years of experience managing and leading high performing teams in a remote and hybrid settings
• Experience with OLAP and OLTP
• Experience developing web applications access by thousands of users
• Robust knowledge of building and working with RESTful APIs
• Experience integrating with internal and third-party services
• Great communication and collaboration skills working with other engineers, product, and business stakeholders
• Ability to lead and influence across a hybrid work environment
• Proactive with an ability to deliver on commitments independently
• Empathetic and authentic
• Inquisitive and interested
• Driven, self-motivated, and diligent
• Optimistic and courageous

The posted range for this position is $127,000 - $200,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 15% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
