Job Description

Team: Account Executive

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. National Account Manager in the United States.

This is a strategic, high-impact sales leadership opportunity responsible for managing and growing key national accounts within a competitive consumer products environment. In this role, you will own the commercial relationship with major retail partners, driving revenue growth, profitability, and long-term account strategy. You will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders while coordinating cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, forecasting, and operations. The position requires a strong balance of relationship management, analytical thinking, and commercial execution in order to deliver sustainable business results. Working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment, you will have ownership over critical account decisions, promotional strategy, and revenue planning. This is an ideal role for a results-oriented sales professional who thrives in managing complex accounts and influencing growth at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and manage strategic national retail accounts, ensuring consistent revenue growth, profitability, and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key account stakeholders, including executive-level partners.
  • Lead end-to-end account strategy, including assortment planning, SKU optimization, channel execution, and category growth initiatives.
  • Manage forecasting, demand planning inputs, and seasonal planning in coordination with internal teams to ensure accurate revenue projections.
  • Oversee promotional strategy development, including investment planning, ROI analysis, and execution of account-specific promotions.
  • Manage MDF (marketing development funds), negotiate funding programs, and ensure effective allocation to drive maximum impact.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, finance, and operations to support account execution and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee contract management activities and ensure compliance with agreed commercial terms and account requirements.
  • Lead business reviews, presentations, and C-level engagement discussions to communicate performance, strategy, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams, product opportunities, and channel expansion initiatives within assigned accounts.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Minimum of 6+ years of progressive sales or national account management experience.
    • Proven track record of managing large-scale retail or national accounts with full revenue ownership responsibilities.
    • Strong experience in consumer products, retail sales, or comparable B2B/B2C environments preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop account strategy, drive revenue growth, and manage complex commercial relationships.
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.
    • Experience working with promotional planning, trade investment strategies, and ROI analysis.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging senior and executive-level stakeholders.
    • Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building capabilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment.
    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives effectively.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000 plus variable incentive compensation.
      • Performance-based bonus structure with total compensation aligned to revenue and growth targets.
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
      • 401(k) retirement plan with company participation.
      • Paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and volunteer time off.
      • Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) options.
      • Life insurance, disability coverage, and employee assistance programs.
      • Strong professional development and career growth opportunities.
      • Inclusive and values-driven company culture focused on innovation and impact.
      • Opportunity to manage high-value national accounts and directly influence business growth.
