Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

The candidate will join a team of optical engineers within the BBP division to develop the cutting-edge wafer inspection products. Optics is the core part of BBP products, which include high-brightness light-sources, broadband coatings, complex optical subsystem and high-speed sensors. This position will propose new designs, predicate & deliver optical performances to support BBP roadmap:

• Provide leadership by owning and investigating design options and finding the best option by evaluating tolerances, light budgets, costs, schedule, and other tradeoffs.
• Closely collaborate with other functions such as technology and system engineering to gather optical performance dependencies. Translate system requirements into optical, mechanical and metrology requirements.
• Support to craft and implement optical alignment and metrology concept to achieve targeted optical performance.
• Follow design process, including design reviews, part procurement from vendors, testing, integration and ECO release.
• Support to solve problems that arise within the inspection system.

Qualifications

The candidate will be proficient in the following areas:

• Lens design and specifications for high-resolution imaging systems
• Able to conduct various sophisticated analysis using one or more simulation tools, such as CodeV, Matlab, LightTools, FRED and Zemax etc.
• Experiences in high-precision optical-alignment and metrology.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Experience as a technical specialist in developing high performance imaging or sensing technology is an advantage but not a requirement.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) or work experience of 5 years , Master's Level Degree or work experience of 6 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 7 years
