Sr Payroll Specialist/HRIS Analyst
Job Description
Department for Fenner PRP. The main focus of this position is HRIS and Business Configuration & Analytics with support as a Sr. Payroll Specialist.• Responsible for checking and auditing payroll records including timekeeping records. Accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the HRIS system.• Administers, develops and researches HRIS systems.• Approximate distribution of time 80% HRIS Configuration & Analytics and 20% payroll
This position reports to the Total Rewards Manager
Payroll• Serves as a back-up for payroll processes including updating and reviewing payroll records by reviewing and approving changes through workflow process.• Manages quarterly and annual payroll tax reports.• Works with payroll software vendor to resolve issues.• Works directly with local, state, and federal agencies as needed.• Liaise with internal and external auditors during payroll audits.• Reviews all payrolls prior to submission.• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislature, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.• Process General Ledger (GL) file and maintain payroll software GL set up according to finance directions.• Write and updating new and existing payroll policies and procedures.• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
HRIS Configuration & Analytics• Design, set up and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) reports and metrics for all Business functions, Internal and External Audits and Michelin Initiatives.• Generates weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to support HR and Business functions including but not limited to compensation, compliance, performance management and business analytics.• Assist Total Rewards Manager in defining system requirements and working with external vendors.• Configures HRIS systems to meet ongoing business needs. UKG modules include but are not limited to Payroll, Benefits, Performance, Learning, Merit, Compensation, Recruiting and Onboarding, including all Workflows.• Ensures accurate data is processed and maintained according to business rules and applicable regulations.• Responsible for some non-US associates' data management.• Provide a high level of customer service to all associates.• Other duties as required for efficient functioning and servicing of internal and external associates and customers.• Maintains professionalism while communicating and handling situations with a diverse group of internal and external individuals.• Maintain and promote Fenner Precision Polymers Values and Behaviors and all times.

Education and/or Relative Experience: (The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)
Required:• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).• 5+ years' experience in payroll processing in a manufacturing environment.• 3-5 years' experience using HRIS Systems software.• Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite).• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred:• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferred but not required.• Experience with Ultimate Software (UKG/UKG Pro) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (The licenses, certificates or registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job.)• Payroll Certification preferred but not required.
