The Role: Senior People Business Partner 
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA (preferred)
*Hybrid Role

What You’ll Do:

Our first Sr People Business Partner (PBP) will build Hazel’s People Business Partner strategy and approach and set up the function for ongoing success and impact. Additionally, the PBP will work with one or more department executives and their teams to evaluate, design and implement effective talent strategies that increase engagement, growth, performance, and results. Additionally, the PBP will serve as a key consultant to management on human capital management related issues, act as a trusted advisor and coach, negotiate and resolve conflict, and influence and affect change. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop relationships with leaders to improve work environments, build morale, and increase productivity, retention, and engagement
  • Lead execution of talent strategies within the departments / teams you support
  • Optimize organizational design to increase productivity and improve performance of the business
  • Partner with and advise leadership on people-related strategy and decisions including organizational design, planning, and compensation
  • Work with the People team to support programs and processes related to team member engagement, including engagement surveys, cross-department focus groups, training, and resources
  • Solve all problems related to people and culture. Implement solutions throughout the company with various levels of complexity.
  • Provide career guidance to team members and propose solutions for internal movement and opportunities
  • Comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate aspects of applicable laws, guideline

What excites us:

  • 3 years plus experience as the primary People Business Partner for a rapidly-growing organization, with direct experience engaging with multiple levels within a company

  • History of strong partnership with established senior leaders; you have coached and guided behaviors, and facilitated and built consensus around People-related initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to both build and deliver people programs that support business objectives, particularly with respect to talent management, performance, compensation, and/or engagement

  • Distinctive problem-solving skills and be adept in collaboration, business acumen and data analytics

  • Experience establishing partnership with the business through a consultative approach

  • Excellent analytical skills; successfully uses data to extract insights and inform decision-making

  • BA or BS degree; Master’s degree a plus.

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of 145,000 to 170,000, a 401k match, healthcare coverage, paid-time off, and a broad range of other benefits. Peruse our benefits at Hazel Health Benefits
