Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering goal & objective deployment activities in collaboration with the continuous improvement organization
  • Develop an effective process to identify and report performance metrics connect business objectives to critical initiatives
  • Lead the budget planning & reporting activities for WHQ Engineering Operations in collaboration with the finance organization
  • Partner with WHQ Engineering Operations leadership to develop and deploy processes & tools as the "engineering operating system"
  • Facilitate communication sessions with global engineering leaders to gather insights on various initiatives and to get alignment across all segments
  • Develop action plans and drivethe implementation of strategic projects across the Engineeringorganizationto obtainmeasurable improvementsin efficiency & performance
  • Connect SMEs across BUs, sharing best practices and lessons learned to enable maximum benefit across engineering and Create and maintain standard work as required
  • Prepare progress reports to share team status with the Engineering Executive Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Transformation Office and Carrier Excellence committees to capture and drivecontinuous improvement effortsto achieve results
  • Lead continuous improvement events and encourage the organization in the use of lean concepts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, or related discipline and 5+ years of Engineering experience.
  • Proven development and execution of project goals to the established timeline.
  • Proven experience and ability to develop and execute consultative strategies that drive operational efficiencies.
  • Experience leading teams to resolve complex challenges
  • Proven ability to influence, drive change, and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail while also able to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across a broad audience.
  • Strong negotiation skills: ability to gain consensus and establish rapport with engineering teams.
  • Coachability to quickly adapt and adjust approach and solution to stakeholder needs.
  • Interest in creating an innovative culture and approach to engineering operations
  • Lean background or expertise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma and or PMP certification
  • MBA or a relevant experience degree (a plus but not required)
  • High learning agility - specific industry knowledge of our segments (a plus but not required).
