The Senior Principal is responsible for assisting in the execution of internal control discipline and operational efficiency within the segment. Manages change controls and oversight required for implementation. Engages with key decision makers to ensure teams are in alignment with best practices and the segments core goals. Creates trending reports and analysis for findings, training, policies and procedures, business analysis, Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Leverages data in order to monitor effectiveness of key controls and status of mitigation and action plans. Builds out mitigation action plans, milestones and controls. Documents, tracks, monitors and escalates risk related issues to management. Assist team in completion of multiple segment assessments, including risk and control self-assessments.

Job Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities to improve processes related to cross dependent segments and advises management accordingly
• Participates in and facilitates meetings and working sessions with subject matter experts and key decision makers
• Structure discussion documents with clear agendas and relevant supporting materials to drive informed decisions from the group
• Documents decisions made and ensure forward momentum and progress
• Maintains awareness of new and pending governmental or investor positions related to loan submissions
• Tracks, trends, and analyzes current processes in cross dependent forward and reverse default performing segments to assist in identifying potential risks; works with the business segments to correct identified areas of risk
• Maintains and updates policies and procedures based on current policy and agreements in order for all segments and teams to access most accurate guidance
• Regularly reviews operational processes to evaluate, identify and remediate issues
• Escalates investor denial issues for potential policy changes
• Working closely with the strategy, business operations and claims management teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

• 5 years of Project/Program Management experience
• Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot-tables, Charts, Graphs, V Look-ups, etc.)
• Experience with VSTS/ TFS/ Azure or equivalent required
• Mortgage industry experience highly preferred
