Sr, Product Management Engineer (Cloud)

Summary:

Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Summary: The Cloud Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions tailored to the unique requirements of our telecommunications systems. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and security of cloud-based telecommunications services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Solution Design: Architect and design cloud solutions that align with the specific needs of telecommunications systems.
• Integration: Integrate cloud solutions seamlessly with existing telecommunication infrastructure, ensuring compatibility with legacy systems.
• Scalability and Performance: Design scalable and high-performance cloud architectures to accommodate varying workloads. Implement auto-scaling and load balancing strategies.
• Security: Develop and implement robust security measures to protect cloud-based telecommunications systems. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Strategies: Develop hybrid and multi-cloud strategies to optimize resource utilization and redundancy.
• Migration Planning: Plan and execute the migration of on-premises telecommunications systems to the cloud, minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
• Cost Optimization: Implement cost-effective cloud solutions by optimizing resource allocation and usage. Monitor cloud expenditures and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Automation and Orchestration: Implement automation and orchestration tools to streamline deployment and management processes. Foster a culture of infrastructure as code (IaC) for telecom cloud components.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Design and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity solutions in the cloud. Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure readiness.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security specialists, and developers. Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and systems.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions for telecommunications.
• Expertise in cloud security, data management, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
