Position Specific Description

NextEra Analytics is the optimization and analytics team for the world's largest renewable energy generator. We thrive on solving the toughest problems facing the energy industry and creating innovative forecasting and optimization solutions that lead the way into the next era of energy.

The Product Manager is responsible for providing product ownership and vision in planning and overseeing the successful execution of various small to medium-sized projects throughout the product life cycle. Individuals will provide product guidance, prioritization, and coordination with various internal teams such as Applied Math, Science, and Engineering & Technology to ensure timely and effective execution. They will also act as the product owner within the Agile development framework. Employees in this role commonly provide status updates and presentations to varying levels of management and collaborate with other business units to ensure products are not only effective but completed on-time and on-budget.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops and executes product roadmaps and strategies consistent with business unit vision
• Defines product objectives and KPIs to measure business impact and value creation
• Leads sprint planning and directs the implementation of critical and complex projects which typically involve and impact multiple business unit stakeholders
• Partners cross-functionally to collaborate with engineers, researchers, analysts, and stakeholders on critical product initiatives.
• Drives and participates in the evaluation and implementation of continuous improvement efforts
• Provides frequent status updates and presentations, both formal and informal, to varying levels of management
• Travels to remote office locations for detailed requirements gathering and major project briefings (expected 5- 20% of the time)

• Develops models and performs quantitative studies to support many aspects of NextEra and FPL business• Improves upon or develops simple to moderately complex mathematical models with oversight from Science and Applied Math• Leads sprint planning and directs the implementation of critical and complex projects which typically involves and impacts multiple business unit stakeholders• Drives and participates in the evaluation and implementation of continuous improvement efforts• Develops and executes product roadmaps and strategies consistent with business unit vision• Provides frequent status updates and presentations, both formal and informal, to varying levels of management• Travels to remote office locations for detailed requirements gathering and major project briefings (expected 10-25% of the time)• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience• Experience: 4+ years
