Senior Product Manager
As a Senior Product Manager* for SecurityMetrics, you will be responsible for increasing the profitability of existing products and developing innovative new products for the company. You will devise and drive strategic product initiatives with the product design, development, marketing, and sales teams. You will anticipate and test market opportunities, establish product direction, understand customer needs, and translate needs into product requirements. Our ideal candidate brings a passion for product management to every stage of the product lifecycle.
Objectives of this Role:
- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers
- Proposing potential partner/licensing relationships for the product
- Serving as a "product evangelist" and the "go-to" product resource
- Establish pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
- Be an advisor on the market for your product
- Have a firm grasp of the competitive environment
- Balance customer needs against internal needs/capabilities to establish product priorities
- Responsible for developing internal product training
- Managing the entire product line life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to plan effective strategies and tactics that extend market reach
- Be a self-starter who can set deadlines, assign responsibilities, take ownership, and drive initiatives to completion
- Prioritize the product roadmap and be able to work with others to execute on everything from product strategy to feature design
- Work closely with the R&D team to break down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product innovation
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience as a product management leader
- 3+ years experience in the Cybersecurity industry
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
- Needs elicitation and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and optimize complex and tiered pricing models
- Solid understanding of the holistic product lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of key roles and responsibilities in a tech product organization
- Substantial experience with product discovery, ideation, market research, and prototype testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference may be given to candidates holding any number of cybersecurity credentials such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, ISO27001/2, or other related certifications.
- Highly proficient technical writing capabilities
