Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Marketer to drive marketing activities for our managed cyber security services. This role will be responsible for both strengthening our reputation as a leading provider of differentiated managed security services, including MDR, XDR, risk-based vulnerability management, threat exposure monitoring, and professional services while driving pipeline through marketing activities. This role will actively collaborate with product management, demand generation, sales, security operations, and threat research to create compelling content and campaigns that bolster our reputation in the market. You will act as the marketing lead, developing marketing plans and messaging to prospects, customers, sellers and partners that articulates the value and benefits Proficio delivers through our managed security services and solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Market intelligence-be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
  • Understand the competitive landscape-be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Develop & execute go-to-market strategy for Proficio's portfolio of managed security services, including how we will GTM with our ecosystem of partners, including technology vendors, resellers, MSPs/MSSP, OEM partners.
  • Create messaging and positioning that differentiates Proficio's portfolio of managed security services and reflects their value proposition in terms of customer needs, competitive differentiation, and the state of the market that resonate with our target buyer personas.
  • Develop a marketing plan for our products in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities, campaigns, programs, and budgets to support the retention of existing customers, upsell and cross-sell, and the acquisition of new customers.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support our services on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.
  • Own and manage the analyst relations program. Crafting the story and message, define goals and ensure alignment across all analyst relations activities, develop and manage a cadence for briefings and inquiry calls, looping in the specific subject matter experts and people with the right expertise, and define and track metrics to be shared with the broader team.
  • Understand and support our sales channels, develop internal tools and external collateral (PPTs, sales plays, competitive analysis & positioning, reference guides, phone and email scripts, case studies, white papers, win wires, customer / partner references, product brochures) and teach sellers and partners how and when to use them. Train our sales organization and partners on the problems we solve for our buyers, product direction, positioning, and key messages, driving clarity of the sales process and consistency of message.
  • Design and develop technical and non-technical sales and marketing collateral and thought leadership materials designed to accelerate our business momentum and better engage customers including, but not limited to, presentations, blogs, solution briefs, data sheets, eBooks, website copy, infographics, white papers, product videos, 3rd party research and reports, and webinars.
  • Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Present our products and solutions in formal and informal settings and act as the primary thought leader for Proficio products externally, including speaking engagements and written works.
  • Become a spokesperson for Proficio's managed services portfolio for the rest of the marketing organization and the primary product marketing contact with the product management team. Assume leading role in evangelizing Proficio's differentiated managed security services and its benefits to sellers, partners, and customers.
  • Travel for company meetings, presentations, training, tradeshows, and events - up to 25%

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with 2+ years in product marketing for a cyber security company. Working experience with a MDR, XDR, and/or Microsoft Security Services offering is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience delivering high-quality marketing materials with a creative flair to bring fresh ideas into product positioning and marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Strong writing skills are essential - must be able to create a wide range of sales enablement and marketing content from scratch (presentations, white papers, datasheets, brochures, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and business level audiences in a compelling and differentiating manner.
  • Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced, complex environment with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field
