Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt responsible for the deployment, prioritization, and achievement of the Stryker Commercial Optimization mission. Ensure the Commercial Optimization office operates efficiently and drives meaningful measurable process improvement and savings across all aspects of the commercial enterprise. Develop and manage the implementation of the three foundational elements of the CO standard tools, training, and team development. Teach and mentor team members, develop and certify Green Belts and Black Belts through the Commercial Optimization tools, methods, and approaches. Manage the flow of projects through the CO funnel driving to achieve the mission of continuous process improvement in the business systems.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop annual and multi-year global Commercial Optimization deployment strategies.
  • Lead the execution of the Commercial Optimization annual and multi-year tactical deployment plans.
  • Influence department leaders, process owners and project teams to develop scope, priorities, and commitment schedules to drive process improvement projects within their functional CO funnels.
  • Serve as project leader to ensure initiation, progress, and on-time completion of project deliverables, including workshop facilitation.
  • Engage all functions within the business to facilitate creation and implementation of Commercial Optimization tools, methods, and approaches to achieve defined project objectives.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Commercial Optimization body of knowledge.
  • Lead the education, mentorship and certification of Stryker Redmond, Kalamazoo, & Belfast Lean Green Belts and Black Belts.
  • Develop and teach the Commercial Optimization curriculum.
  • Manage, measure performance, and ensure successful completion of prioritized continuous improvement projects focused on site operational performance.
  • Continuously strive for project success and proliferation of the Commercial Optimization approach to drive positive return to Stryker Emergency Care business operating systems and strategic initiatives.
  • Independently performs other related duties as required and as assigned.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, engineering, or related field of study
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
  • 10 years' active deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in a manufacturing business environment
  • 5 years' experience teaching mentoring, and coaching Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and/or Green Belts
  • 10 years' experience managing a team in operations, business, or project/program management.
  • Extensive experience in use of advanced tools in standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, PowerBI)
  • Capability to turn abstract concepts into tangible work product minimal to no supervision
  • Ability to solve complex problems following established policies and procedures
  • Organized, efficient and process oriented with a demonstrated track record of achievement
  • Experience in medical device or other regulated environment (preferred)
  • Master's Degree in an engineering or business-related field of study (preferred)
  • Mastery of Minitab or other statistical and simulation software (preferred)
  • Office environment involving significant use of computer equipment.
  • May require extended work hours to support project or production deadlines
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds.
