Sr. Professional Services Program Manager (PMP)

Primary Responsibilities

The Professional Services Sr. Program Manager drives the end-to-end delivery of critical consumer-facing program for our largest clients. The Sr. Program Manager is the leader and acts as guardian of the consumer and financial institution client experience, guiding the implementation of complex products and services from post-sale, through delivery, to go-live, and support. The Sr. Program Manager will work in close partnership with cross-functional teams that includes sales, product management, marketing, engineering, operations and support to implement the client's solution as well as manage client relationships.

The Professional Services Sr. Program Manager must demonstrate strong leadership and relationship management skills in a consultative environment. The Sr. Program Manager must be proficient at Thinking Strategically, Driving For Results, Building High-Performance Teams, and Inspire through Action. The Sr. Program Manager will have a general financial background including understanding of interfaces, services, and must possess excellent program management skills with the ability to manage high profile programs at the senior management level within the financial institution and within NCR Digital Banking DI. The Sr. Program Manager will help define project scope by analyzing client needs and provide recommendations and guidance during the implementation process. In addition, the Program Manager must:

Job Scope:

  • Drive complex, cross-functional deployments with no defined process or procedures including thoughtful planning, scope clarification, risk and resource constraint management including proactive mitigation and contingency plans across the multiple tracks of the program.
  • Manage concurrent complex and sophisticated clients programs
  • Work with the appropriate internal teams to drive alignment for client commitments
  • Own and manage program escalations from start to conclusion
  • Manage the execution of new and undefended product solutions into a client's online banking environment
  • Deliver against the statement of work and managing on time, high quality and high client satisfaction with the offering, the implementation and the team
  • Drive the documentation and proactive communication of program goals, measures of success, plans, status, issues and risks in a timely manner to team members, stakeholders and senior management to assure strategic and program alignment and the timely resolution of issues, risks and roadblocks.
  • Facilitate strong, positive, trusting relationships to understand the customer's needs and accurately represent the voice and perspective of the financial institutional customer within NCR Digital Banking DI Financial Services team.
  • Skillfully generate creative solutions to challenging program and/or client related issues in a timely manner under potentially stressful situations
  • Continually look for opportunities to improve current processes and approaches and drive the implementation of these changes.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership and project management skills
  • Participates at a senior level in departmental efforts and initiatives to define and improve project management structure and definition, as well as to determine and implement best practices and methods of managing Implementation Services activities
  • Able to successfully lead and manage an implementation team
  • Serves as coach and mentor to Project Managers within Professional Services
  • Be able to support conversion projects during non-business hours or weekends.
  • Travel up to 25%

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years experience delivering large scale online enterprise software deployment and implementations to or through enterprise customers or partner consultative relationships.
  • 15+ year's project/program management or other related management experience, including the management of enterprise projects in a consultative environment
  • Proven leadership ability of large client implementations and of internal teams
  • Proven cross-function, end to end program management for new initiatives where little or no precedent may exist, requiring engagement with and accountability to business & functional group leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical project with complex data management
  • PMP Certified
  • Experience in relationship management across partners or for enterprise customers including the ability to establish and maintain executive relationships
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and influencing skills as well as effective listening skills
  • Experience in the use of structured project management methods and tools
  • Understanding of current technologies such as SAML 2.0 for SSO, Web Service API's, etc.
  • Understanding of PFM applications
  • Financial institution experience preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn basic concepts related to the financial services industry.
  • Ability to quickly learn new products
  • Excellent organizational skills.
