Sr Project Manager - Travel Tech

General Description:

The Project Manager leads conversion projects from requirements definition through implementation to handover to Business as Usual (project closure). . We refer to a conversion project when a travel agency (TMC, Leisure agency or OTA) moves all or a part of their Air/Car/Hotel/Rail business from a competitor GDS to Sabre.

Responsibilities

• Risk and Issue Management

• Provides direction to project team to ensure maximum performance

• Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope and schedule

• Develops and maintains relationships with customers and third parties

• Creates project plans, status reports and other project documentation as required

• Analyzes project status and monitors KPIs

• Coordinates the handover to BAU teams

Profile Qualifications:

• General understanding of Travel Industry infrastructure, technology and relationship between suppliers, developers and subscribers

• Ability to connect with a variety of audiences at all levels within and outside Sabre

• Account Management knowledge and the ability to present and deal with stakeholders up to management level

• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English + French and/or German)

• Creative individual with strong analytical and solution-oriented skills

• Four or more years of Project Management Experience

• Excellent presentation skills

• Professional certification such as Prince2 or PMP

• Team player with experience of working with different cultures in a global environment

• Sabre and/or other GDS hands on experience is a plus

• Languages: Fluent in English + French

• Travel required 25% of the time

• Position level: Senior
