In this role you will have the opportunity to lead and manage teams with a focus on achieving sales goals and operational efficiency through the efficient use of management and sales department staff, report evaluation and incentive programs. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Senior Sales Manager is responsible for setting priorities, strategic direction, and execution.

As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.
  • Provides clear vision to staff of objective sales goals, key metrics, and standards of performance. Analyzes historical trends and future projections for staffing, training, and process flows. Makes recommendations and implements new goals, process changes, training curriculum and staffing resources based on historical results
  • Oversees call center activity for monitoring/compliance, call protocol adherence, attendance, and behavior, and ensures managers are held accountable for appropriate actions such as employee discipline, praise, and call monitoring sessions. Provides constructive feedback when necessary
  • Creates meaningful incentive programs, continually evaluating their effectiveness and ROI for the company. Assists with introduction, implementation, and promotion of new products, cross-sell programs. Participates in on-going hiring activities, performance management and progressive disciplinary activities as appropriate
  • Collaborates with Senior Management and training team on best practices for training, monitoring and skill development
  • Communicates to Senior Management any potential revenue, expense, or other financial consequences that may arise from new business initiatives
  • Analyzes and monitors sales support activities to improve operational efficiency
  • Prepares reports and analysis for Senior Management
  • Oversees daily management of sales and sales support teams


What we are looking for:
  • 5+ years of Life Insurance experience including expert knowledge of Life Insurance operational processes
  • 3+ years of successful sales results and experience with similar span of control and scope of responsibilities in a call center environment
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with high level contacts and maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for what you do every day
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent follow-through, strong business acumen and a high level of urgency and adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, detail-oriented
  • Life & Health licensed
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
