Position: Sr. Sales & Marketing Manager - Specialty Chemicals Industry: Chemical Job Location: NYC Working Model: Hybrid Base Salary: $110K~125K/base Position Summary Responsible for driving sales, marketing, and business development in the specialty chemicals sector, with a focus onholisticwellness products such as nutritional supplements, beauty personal care, and food & beverage ingredients.The role involves managing existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing creative strategies for growth, including exclusive contracts, distribution rights, and potential venture capital investments. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute business plans, negotiate contracts, and secure financing or production arrangements. • Manage and expand relationships with existing clients, ensuring efficient order processing and high-quality service. • Conduct cost and cash flow analysis to determine competitive pricing strategies. • Research and develop new business opportunities by building industry networks and adapting products for market growth. • Possesses deep knowledge of nutritional supplements, beauty care, and food & beverage ingredients, staying current on trends and market conditions to adapt strategies and seize business opportunities. • Stay informed on industry trends and global markets, particularly in wellness-related product categories. • Oversee credit reviews, payment schedules, and required transaction documentation. • Collaborate with operations staff and participate in projects assigned by the General Manager. Requirements: • Minimum 9 years of experience or equivalent training/experience. • Technical sales expertise in the specialty chemicals domain preferred. • Thorough knowledge of international trade procedures, customs laws, and bookkeeping principles. • Extensive experience with shipping, air transportation, and freight forwarding. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with solid PC skills. • Strong network of business contacts and in-depth knowledge of products, including technical, environmental, regulatory, and economic factors affecting usage. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Ability to manage end-to-end business deals from negotiations and financing to delivery. • Adaptability to cross-cultural environments. • Japanese language skills are a plus but not required.
