Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test suites using Python, Java, and other relevant languages.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of our software solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability of code and provide feedback on code quality.
  • Work with Linux environments to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Utilize database and Timeseries database knowledge to validate data integrity and performance.
  • Hands-on experience with message streaming systems like Kafka and implement testing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Identify and report defects, track issues to resolution, and verify bug fixes.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and utilities to enhance the efficiency of the testing process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing methodologies.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as an SDET or in a similar quality engineering role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Java or GO.
  • Proficiency in working with Linux environments.
  • Experience with databases and Timeseries databases.
  • Knowledge of message streaming systems, preferably Kafka.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement automation frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in agile development and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Previous experience in tool development or automation framework development.

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of 117,800 - 200,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
