BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to employ their expertise in software development and quality assurance to deliver highly performant, reliable, and stable software of the utmost quality. This is a unique opportunity for you to step up as a technical leader in solving cloud-scale challenges, defining the way we build and test our products and deliver a bar-raising ITDR system.   

The Role:

BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to employ their expertise in software development and quality assurance to deliver highly performant, reliable, and stable software of the utmost quality. This is a unique opportunity for you to step up as a technical leader in solving cloud-scale challenges, defining the way we build and test our products and deliver a bar-raising ITDR system. 

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain new test infrastructure, Framework and tools that enable the delivery of high-quality enterprise scale product.
• Design and maintain testing plans and strategies.
• Design and perform analysis on test result reports for actionable improvements.
• Introduce improvements to testing processes and coverage. Implement and integrate new test types.
• Provide mentorship and guidance for SDETs and QA on best practices and test implementation in a highly available cloud environment.
• Work collaboratively alongside the development teams to design and deliver software that meets our quality and operational excellence standards, alongside on-time delivery.
• Review and provide feedback to feature design to ensure a customer-focused and testable approach is being taken by the development team. Review design for resiliency in negative test scenarios.
• Providing production support for our cloud applications and services including participation in on-call rotation.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an SDET role 
• Strong ability to create and design test automation and test infrastructure. 
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.  
• Strong understanding of cloud native application design and best practices. 
• Experience setting up thorough, complex, controlled tests with actionable outputs.
• An understanding of agile SDLC and test automation is crucial.
• Experience managing test infrastructure.  
• Coding experience in C#, Python or other high level programming languages.   
• Knowledge of various testing types, such as integration, smoke, performance, and canary tests.
• Knowledge of various testing strategies and when best to employ them.
• Ability to work independently.  Is self-directed and motivated to take ownership and drive improvement.
• Solid English written and verbal communication, presentation, and people skills.
