Sr Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Max Digital Solutions (MDS) to work in a team responsible for creating new, innovative products and services to provide edge capabilities for an Industrial IoT platform for all NOV Business Segments. Your main responsibilities will include all aspects of the software development lifecycle - technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support. A dedication to solving problems, designing sophisticated solutions, and quality is critical to achieving success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and implementation of new products and services related to our Industrial IoT platform's edge capabilities
• Interact with internal and external development teams identifying the best approaches for the integration of different systems
• Interact with Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers from all parts of the organization
• Provide detailed reports within area of responsibility after product testing and validation
• Achieve competency in NOV technologies across multiple business units

Requirements:

• 8+ years experience in software engineering
• Strong knowledge in software architecture, data structures, modern design patterns, and network protocols
• Proficient working on Linux OS and the command line is your friend

Other qualifications include:

• Experience writing code in C, C++, Go, or object oriented programming languages
• Familiar with REST, gRPC, and message broker technologies
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
