Senior Software Engineer - Transportation Planning

Location: Hybrid out of Coppell, TX Office (remote not available)

Overview: Blue Yonder, a leading supply chain software company, is seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on the Transportation Planning product. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions that revolutionize transportation planning for businesses worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and architecture discussions for software features and enhancements in the Transportation Planning product.
• Design and develop advanced J2EE-based applications using the Spring framework to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Implement event-driven architecture using Azure Event Hub for real-time data processing and communication.
• Champion DevOps practices, including continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring, to ensure seamless software delivery.
• Contribute to version control using Github and enforce best practices for collaborative development.
• Prioritize and address security concerns, applying industry-standard security practices to safeguard the product.
• Optimize software performance to meet and exceed customer expectations for speed and efficiency.
• Ensure the highest standards of software quality through rigorous testing and code reviews.
• Implement design patterns and best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability of the software.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior software engineers, fostering their professional growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in J2EE-based application development and the Spring framework.
• Proven expertise in event-driven architecture and implementing solutions with Azure Event Hub.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and experience with continuous integration and deployment.
• Proficiency in version control using Github or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of security best practices and experience addressing security concerns in software design and implementation.
• Demonstrated experience in performance optimization for large-scale applications.
• In-depth knowledge of software quality assurance processes and experience conducting code reviews.
• Expertise in design patterns and best practices to ensure maintainable and scalable software architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality software.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.

The salary range for this position is: USD $ 96,143.00 - $ 139,266.00

The salary range information provided reflects the anticipated base salary range for this remote / virtual position based on current national data and applicable jurisdiction regulations.

Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses, and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
