Job Description
About the opportunity
We're seeking a passionate Backend Software Engineer to play a key role in designing developing and maintaining the Access Review feature which is an innovative addition to ServiceNow's Veza's IAM platform. In this role you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable robust solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact while working with the latest technologies in identity and access management.
You will:
- Design develop and maintain backend services and APIs for our IAM platform ensuring they deliver high performance scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers software engineers UX designers and security experts to build features that align with business goals and meet security requirements.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Access Review feature a cutting-edge addition to our IAM platform.
- Build and manage identity lifecycle management features including user provisioning de-provisioning and access control policies.
- Implement logging monitoring and auditing functionality to ensure platform visibility and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Continuously enhance the performance security and scalability of the IAM platform through code reviews testing and refactoring.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in identity and access management leveraging them to drive innovation and elevate the platform.
Qualifications
You have:
- 7+ years of proven experience in backend software development with a focus on identity and access management security or related areas.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Golang and Java.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols standards and best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with IAM services and features.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) caching mechanisms and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
For positions in this location we offer a base pay of $143200 - $243400 plus equity (when applicable) variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications skill level competencies and work location. We also offer health plans including flexible spending accounts a 401(k) Plan with company match ESPP matching donations a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
