Hillrom is modernizing hospital communication with a system that provides VoIP, secure text messaging, and delivery of critical alarms -- wirelessly, on enterprise and personal smartphones, and via the web.

Your Role at Baxter

The iOS Developer works on the iOS apps for Voalte Platform, which so far include an app for use on shared devices, and one for personal devices. This person will work as part of a cross-functional team with server, Android and JavaScript client developers and also collaborate with QA and UX teams.

What you'll be doing

• Creating world-class software; this includes:
• Elegant, efficient, readable, maintainable code
• Unit tests
• Documentation review and updating existing documentation.
• Reviewing functional specifications of features and providing feedback
• Implementing features
• Partner with the UX team to faithfully implement graphic designs
• Working closely with the QA team to avoid bugs whenever possible, and diagnose and fix them quickly when not possible

What you'll bring

• Experience using C and Obj-C; comfortable with advanced concepts and methodologies, which have been used personally on multiple code bases
• Demonstrable experience developing for iOS
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
• Team player: great attitude and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of fundamental computer science and software design concepts
• Strong understanding of client/server protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP and WebSocket

Preferred Skill

• Published app in the Apple App Store
• Reviewable source code for such an app

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $60,000 to $132,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
