This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Engineer - Full Stack in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve high-impact full-stack systems that directly support large-scale digital healthcare experiences. You will work across backend and frontend layers, contributing to the architecture and delivery of scalable services that power critical user journeys in a mission-driven environment. The position combines hands-on engineering in Python, Java, and modern frontend frameworks with cross-functional collaboration across product, design, and data science teams. You will help shape systems that improve accessibility, engagement, and care delivery experiences for millions of users. This is a highly collaborative engineering environment where technical excellence, empathy, and continuous improvement are central to the culture. You will also contribute to enhancing platform reliability, performance, and long-term scalability.
Accountabilities
In this role, you will own full-stack feature development and contribute to the design, implementation, and evolution of scalable backend services and modern web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, secure, and user-centered digital health solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across backend services and frontend applications
- Develop and improve scalable microservices using Python and Java-based frameworks
- Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using React and modern frontend practices
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, and behavioral health teams to refine technical solutions
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions
- Ensure high standards of code quality, security, performance, and maintainability
- Drive improvements in development workflows, tooling, and engineering practices
- Support continuous delivery and operational stability of production systems
- Contribute to API design and integration across distributed systems
- 6+ years of experience building enterprise or consumer-facing web applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Strong experience with backend development using Python and/or Java (Spring preferred)
- Experience building frontend applications using React.js (React Native experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with TypeScript, AWS, and state management tools such as Redux
- Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
- Experience working in cross-functional teams in a product-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced settings
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing and security
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
