As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our advertising pipelines. Our successful candidate has demonstrated experience operationalizing advertising data to resolve complex delivery issues and optimize the advertising pipeline. You will need proven leadership skills, a sense of urgency, experience with critical service operations, and the ability to problem-solve in high-volume production environments.
Responsibilities• Perform day-to-day technical operations of the advertising pipelines, including triage and troubleshooting of operational issues, run point on escalations, and provide Level 1 / Tier 1 support• Ensure monitoring and alerting on production services are in place and be available on-call for production incidents.• Deliver key performance metrics (KPM) to track health and growth• Maintain operational playbooks• Develop strong partnerships across operations, sales, business intelligence, engineering, and product management teams.• Maintain detailed operational documentation for both internal and external consumption• Execute optimization and growth strategies, help manage key development milestones and deployments, and monitor effectiveness.• Analyze and communicate the impact of key strategy, market, or product changes
Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, related technical fields, or equivalent experience• Minimum of 5 years of relevant data science, Business Intelligence, or data analytics experience - preferably with a digital media or digital advertising company• Minimum of 1 -2 years of experience in ad technology, operations, or support, preferably focusing on video advertising technology.• Experience delivering products in an agile software development environment including sprint work in Jira• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and partner across multiple teams and organizations• Strong SQL experience including writing/optimizing complex queries against distributed data stores such as Aurora, Hadoop, Hive, Oracle, and Snowflake• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Apache NiFi or Apache Airflow• Knowledge in at least one programming language such as Python, R, Scala, Java.• Demonstrated experience working with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Business Objects, Looker, etc.• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and unacquainted audiences effectively• Experience in working with large datasets (Terabytes or more)• Strong presentation and documentation skills including experience working with Confluence, PowerPoint, and LucidChart• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills• Enjoy working collaboratively with a talented group of people to tackle challenging business problems so we all succeed (or fail fast) as a team
Preferred Qualifications• Experience with digital advertising systems and ecosystems• Experience using data analytics to triage and troubleshoot advertising workflows• Experience with network topologies, systems architecture overviews, and entity-relationship diagrams
The hiring range for this position in California is $124,000 to $166,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
