Rowe Price investment products, client types and business partners, processing transfer agent transaction activities, and building client relationships. Leverages product and industry knowledge to resolve the most complex issues in support of peers and internal/external business partners to provide an exemplary onboarding experience for T. Job Summary:
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
- Requires advanced skills and expertise in a variety of work processes or activities
- Generates potential solutions to complex problems
- May help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
- Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments
- May act as a team lead, delivering training or coordinating the work of others, but not an official supervisor
Responsibilities for Sr Specialist:
- Accountable for all aspects of new or existing client implementation activities; working with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure agreements, documentation, and trading activity is completed.
- Will facilitate and respond to client inquiries through email, direct phone calls, and conference calls with multiple parties to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Will own and prioritize their personal workflow involving client onboardings and responding to product or transactional inquires. Will research, coordinate, and assign new onboarding activities with team members.
- Responsible for quality checking all of their own work and on a rotational basis provide a final quality check to peers.
- Researches and resolves the most complex operational or client issues. Identifies trends in client issues and proposes and implements solutions.
- Builds, maintains, and enhances a variety of client relationships through consultative service interactions. Works directly with clients to identify and assess the client's/prospect's needs. May provide information to clients on products and services. Acts on opportunities to create value and solutions.
- Assists internal business partners in applying established departmental and regulatory guidelines when handling client requests and ensures broad and consistent application.
- Stays abreast of department regulatory needs and responsibilities through training classes, seminars, "lessons learned" sessions and provides training to new team members.
Typical Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND -4+ years of total relevant work experience
- Client experience and customer satisfaction focused approach to job responsibilities and issue resolution
- Proactive approach to managing their own workflow and client activities. Able to prioritize and organize their tasks in a self-sufficient manner. Displays a sense of ownership and accountability when managing their task list.
- Works well with peers, internal and external business partners to meet the needs of clients and problem solve complex or escalated situations
Preferred:
- Familiarity with various types of retirement plans and other institutional clients
- Knowledge of T. Rowe Price proprietary products (40 Act Mutual Funds, Collective Investment Trusts, Variable Insurance Products)
- Industry familiarity and understanding of the various external partners that T. Rowe Price conducts business with; Advisor/Consultant, Participating Trust/Plan/Institutional investor, recordkeeper, custodian, and/or clearing firm
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Access, OneNote, Outlook)
- Transfer Agent operations experience and understanding of SS&C transfer agent applications
- Has an intellectual curiosity and process improvement mindset
