Your Purpose 

You will drive the financial partnership with Product and Growth teams at Bitso, delivering rigorous modelling, forecasting, and data-driven insights that directly shape strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization

Who You Are 

• 5+ years of experience in a financial / analytical role
• Experience at a high-growth tech company is a must; background in Fintech, Crypto, investment banking, or consulting is a highly valuable asset
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with very strong Google Sheets / Excel and Google Slides / PowerPoint skills
• Hands-on experience pulling & analyzing complex data; excellent financial modelling skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and proactively to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and eagerness to build strong partnerships and communicate with multiple cross-functional partners/stakeholders; possess the confidence and tact required to express views to both senior stakeholders and peers
• Strategic prowess and confidence to make decisions and recommendations in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment; able to form a well-reasoned point of view with incomplete information and influence decisions across the business without direct authority
• Strong business acumen; brings new ideas to Bitso; escalates situations to the manager when appropriate
• Highly skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished; consistent track record of successfully building processes and procedures that can scale during high-growth periods
• Deeply curious by nature and passionate about solving complex, impactful problems - not satisfied with the "what" without understanding the "why"; uses an organized, logical approach to get into the details, identify root causes, and proactively propose solutions that often go beyond the immediate scope of the ask
• Exceptional communication, presentation and writing skills with the proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way; ability to accurately tell the story behind the numbers in a compelling manner to influence senior leadership, particularly those unfamiliar with financial concepts
• Demonstrated high sense of urgency and responsibility; if something seems off, proactively take immediate action to figure out what’s going on
• Strong bias towards action and pursuing continuous improvement; excitement and confidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions leveraging AI
• Sets a benchmark for ethical conduct, maintaining the highest standards of honesty and integrity

What You Will Do 

• Build trusted relationships with key cross-functional business partners and stakeholders at the highest levels of the organization
• Partner directly with Product/Growth teams and provide actionable insights based on data-driven analytics; provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to facilitate strategic business decision-making and support the launch of new features/products/campaigns using a data-driven approach
• Enhance key company-wide financial and strategic planning processes (e.g., quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning), focusing on process streamlining and including scenario modelling and risk/opportunity assessments
• Analyze operational performance against monthly KPIs, plans and forecasts and recommend actions to improve performance based on analysis
• Prepare timely and accurate financial monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis and report back to business units; demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter, models, and key drivers, and be able to articulate the big-picture story of the business financial results
• Maintain long-term financial models and monitor changes to assumptions
• Proactively identify and contribute to improvements in current processes, reports and models by leveraging AI, financial data, non-financial data, external benchmarks, automation, and/or prior industry experiences
• Collaborate with the Data team, ensuring consistency and reliability of key data. Assist in the design and validation of new metrics/models/dashboards to drive key insights on the business
• Build, automate and maintain business dashboards, reporting, analysis and metrics, including in-depth analytics of key metrics such as LTV, ARPU, CAC and Payback
• Contribute to the preparation of Board materials and other key deliverables (internal and external)
• Support other ad-hoc strategic and analytical projects as business needs evolve
