Responsibilities
The Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist is an experienced and self-motivated professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to promote the concepts of quality and integrity and to affect positive change through successful collaboration with all levels of employees within the organization. This position is eligible for a flexible work arrangement (up to 50% remote).
- Serves as a liaison to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
- Requires experience in Part 121 Airline Technical Operations
- Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
- Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations Data Collection Tools(DCTs)
- Knowledge of international regulatory requirements for flight operations and environmental programs
- Conduct audits of internal processes and programs to FAA and/or IOSA standards
- Conduct audits (protocol, in-process, data, report) for a variety of data and study types to assure compliance with regulatory, protocol, and SOP requirements
- Review Standard Operating Procedures for regulatory compliance
- Should have at least two years or more of aviation-related technical writing and data analysis
- Must possess analytical skills and the ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data
- Maintain and present timely and accurate metrics for identified quality KPIs
- Provide regulatory advice to the Tech Ops Leadership Team
- Provide recommendations to management for process improvements
- Develop and present training presentations
- Monitor updates to federal and international regulatory requirements
- Manage, conduct, and provide expertise and consultation for quality system process improvement initiatives
- Manage and perform audits of computerized system validation deliverables, including change control
- Ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Project management experience
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience in using Excel, Word, and SharePoint
- Ability to manage work schedule and assigned programs/tasks with little direct supervision
- Potential need to work flexible hours
- Perform other duties as required by senior level management
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Aviation.
- 5-7 years' experience.
- FAA A&P Certificate (preferred).
- Effective time management techniques are essential to prioritize work flow and meet deadlines.
- Computer skills are essential (MS Office Suite).
- Domestic & International travel under 10% of time.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
