Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Growth, the Senior Analyst of Strategic Growth will be responsible analyzing strategic vendor investment for the organization. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with senior leaders in Merchandising and Finance and will be responsible for analyzing vendor investment, model building, and producing recommendations across multiple vendor investment opportunities.

This opportunity is ideally suited for a highly motivated, results driven analyst with experience in merchandising, merchandise analytics or merchandise finance, with strong math, financial modeling, data visualization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Develop financial models to assess implications in shifts of vendor investment
• Provide monthly score cards to ensure financial targets are met and where they are trending
• Provide recommendations and implications to cost structures
• Support broader Strategic Growth Team for analysis and dashboarding
• Develop impactful communication materials (ppt/word/email) for senior leadership, clearly articulating opportunities and insights from modeling
• Present your insights confidently in meetings, turning meetings into collaborative working sessions
• Develop better processes and data flows to simplify investment workstreams within Merchandising (e.g., automation, smart forms)

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Analytics
• Demonstrated ability to frame and logically structure new or unfamiliar problems
• Deep analytical skills and comfort with manipulating large datasets
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Alteryx and / or SQL a plus
• Strong math skills and experience using statistics
• High motivation, with eagerness to run the extra mile to deliver world-class results
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility and openness to reprioritizing work based on evolving business needs
• Experience building Tableau Dashboards

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $74,500.00.
