What You'll Do

We are looking for a talented and experienced Sr. Supply Planning Analyst I to join the Global Logistics Team. You will work in a dynamic operation’s centric environment, interfacing regularly with global cross-functional teams and external suppliers, to support an efficient, strategically focused, Operations organization. The Supply Planning Analyst I will bring a high level of energy and proven experience to a fast moving, performance-oriented organization. They will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, experience levels, and technical backgrounds. 

This position will be responsible for the Supply Planning processes for specific product lines and will work collaboratively with other departments and functions to support the company's S&OP process. They will collaborate with the Supply Planning team to establish SKU level safety stock targets, using forecast accuracy and lead time constraints to manage the target and deliver customer inventory needs. This position will support Supply KPI’s for the team, ensuring the proper KPI’s are represented in the appropriate S&OP meetings. 

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Strategic thinking to develop longer-range supply strategies and plans that drive significant value while meeting our business requirements. 
  • Partner with internal Sourcing, Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to support strategies that drive improvement throughout the product life cycle. 
  • Monitor stocking positions through analysis in past usage and future forecast and adjust lot sizes and order points accordingly 
  • Develop ongoing metric tools for operations (dashboards etc) for the measurement of shipment schedule acceptance, schedule adherence, and inbound volume tracking at the destination level 
  • Monitor on-going Excess and Obsolete material and develop action plans in partnership with the responsible teams. 
  • Maintain visibility into finished good stock levels and balance appropriately across our global warehouse locations. 
  • Establish end-to-end partner performance measurements and scorecards to help SimpliSafe and our contract manufacturing partners continually improve cost, quality, lead time, and service 
  • Support executive-level business reviews with critical partners at appropriate cadence 
  • Align with manufacturing partners to best leverage external capabilities, and improve ordering/buffering requirements while preventing supply risks and improving flexibility of supply.
What You'll Bring 
  • A relevant bachelor's degree and 3+ years of logistics experience with solid business acumen and knowledge of consumer products. Direct experience with managing outsourced manufacturing, supply planning, inventory management/balancing, and/or materials management 
  • Technology savvy in general, proficiency with MSOffice and Google Workspace (Excel skills are a must- pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sorting, arithmetic formulae), experience utilizing ERP systems like NetSuite and planning tools. Tableau experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to utilize multiple data sources to deliver accurate, reasonable & reliable reporting and insights. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for interacting at all levels within the organization. A team player with a “can-do” and determined attitude. 
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently in a proactive and anticipatory manner. Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing by influence, both with internal and external partners 
  • Customer focused approach with a genuine passion for the logistics industry. 
  • Strong understanding of geo-political and global trade influences within Asia 
  • Located in Boston, MA. Travel Required: up to 15%
