Sr Systems Analyst - TIAA Bank

 

The Sr Systems Analyst role designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
  • Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
  • Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
  • Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
  • Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
  • Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
  • Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

Additional Information for Posting:

 

  • Installing and configuring, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers and access points
  • Experience with network security (firewalls, ACLs, IPSEC VPN, dot1x)
  • Strong understanding of network security requirements & best practices and ability to analyze and respond to security incidents
  • Troubleshooting experience with Cisco ISE in an 802.1x environment
  • Configuring and troubleshooting authentication protocols like TACACS+, Radius, LDAP Active Directory
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols, IPv4, NAT, Multicast, spanning tree, IPSEC, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS
  • Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP models
  • Experience with SNMP, NetFlow and other network monitoring protocols and methodologies
  • Understanding of IPS/IDS and Tap infrastructure technologies
  • Network maintenance and system upgrades
  • Monitor network performance and ensure availability and reliability
  • Monitor System resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
  • Provide level2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues
  • Work with established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Document procedures and maintain documents as necessary
  • Work with vendors and other IT Infrastructure teams for problem resolution
  • Work with Information Security and vulnerability management teams to track and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, SolarWinds and Splunk technologies and applications
  • CCNP or higher certifications
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
  • An ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment

 

 

Base Pay Range: $78,750/yr. - $131,250/yr.

 

 

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
