Sr Systems Engineer

Business and technical requirements, including networking, VMware, server hardware/software maintenance, E-mail, backup solutions, security, and policies and procedures development. A successful candidate will have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, SCCM,SCOM, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP-IP, server/PC hardware, backups, user and group management, firewall administration, remote access and general network/information security. The candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining the company’s various computers systems, applications and firewall. This includes system and application upgrades, updates and patches. The candidate will be responsible for securing company data and other resources and ensuring data availability and disaster recovery

Key Roles and Responsibility:

• Execute projects and resolve complex problems in varying systems that include Enterprise-level archiving, O365 technologies, Exchange/Exchange Online, Active Directory
• Manage maintain, monitor and support Exchange Server 2010, 2013, and 2016, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and provide Exchange Server support along with Active Directory.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, OU structures and Group Policies, Active directory Replication DNS, DHCP and IIS.
• Good understanding of AD sites, replication, GPO, AD schema.
• Install, configure, manage, and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and virtual machines.
• Coordinate with various teams to facilitate patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Test and apply new patches and software updates to virtualized servers and endpoints.
• Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery processes for virtualized environments.
• Install, configure, manage, and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and virtual machines.
• Perform day-to-day management, Implementation and maintaining Microsoft Office 365 tenant and associated productivity workloads.
• Manage and monitor Office 365 services and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience with Federation Services, DNS, High Availability and Disaster Recovery Configurations, Mail Flow and Connectors, Outlook client configuration, PowerShell, SMTP, SSL/TLS.
• Performance monitoring and troubleshooting activities in O365 using tools like PowerShell, MFCMapi, ID Fix, ODT, Email Flow, Diagnostic tools etc
• Identity and access management, information protection and governance, threat protection, security management, insider risk management, compliance management, and eDiscovery.
• DNS server management & troubleshooting
• Ability to provide after-hours support and participation in on-call rotation

What candidate must have:

• 7-10 + years Systems Administration experience in Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and above in Active Directory environment.
• 7-10 +years of experience administering and supporting M365 & O365 technologies.
• 7-10 +years of experience in AD Administration, M365 Security administration, Defender protection
• 7-10 +years experience with PowerShell scripting
• 7-10 +years of L3 experience in, Windows administration, Defender protection
• 7-10 +Windows administration/Office 365
• 7-10 +Strong virtualization platform knowledge such as VMWare
• Excellent client facing skills with the ability to thrive in a highly critical, complex environment
• 7+ SCOM experience
• 7+ VEEAM Backup
• Network Security Administration - Tools such as Palo Alto and Cisco Switches
• 3+ Routing and switching knowledge
• Sunrise CCM MS tools expertise ideally but not required
• BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.
• IT Certifications preferred

Travel Requirements:

Working Arrangements:

• May require after hours on call support
• Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
