Sr Systems Sales Engineer
Job Description
Carolina Handling LLC is seeking a Sr. Systems Sales Engineer with a thorough background in both sales and engineering that specializes in the warehouse automation industry. This sales engineering professional will be responsible for developing new automation business, while also supporting the Sales team to succeed on the automation side of the business. They will possess the ability to foster internal and external client satisfaction by exceeding their expectations. They will utilize their interpersonal skills to nurture and cultivate client and vendor relationships. They will prepare projects to be concepted, estimated and implemented by gathering onsite information, pertinent specifications, soliciting vendor quotes and related documents. They will identify labor, material and time requirements in order to compute competitive costs and project schedules for the proposal presentation phase for the client.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop initial design concepts and sellable solutions for client applications.
- Provide timely accurate proposals at margins which reflect the value we have added.
- Collaborate with Sales, Applications and Project Management personnel to ensure optimum solutions and implementations.
- Ensure proposed solutions adhere to client's specifications.
- Collect and analyze required field data including product specifications, application environment, customer facility details, existing and new equipment considerations and any pertinent project restrictions.
- Generate accurate and complete AutoCAD layouts and proposals to be utilized for presentations.
- Work with our various suppliers to ensure we are providing the proper solutions.
- Effectively communicate application solution and data to Implementation Group personnel for successful project execution when necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- 10-12 years of experience in material handling automation application development and sales.
- An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
- Well organized, detail oriented, prioritizes and plans work activities.
- Manages competing demands; uses time efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Listens well and gets clarification.
- A team player who can work well in a multitasking environment.
- Desires self-improvement.
- Proficient using AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
