As a Homecare Homebase User Experience Designer, you are on the front lines with customers. Day to day, your understanding of Homecare Homebase, our customer's business objectives, and your drive to execute makes you successful. That includes collaboration with internal and external customers, informing scrum team priorities, and ensuring smooth communication among your teammates. Under the guidance of the User Experience Director, you fill the role of a behavioral scientist in a cross-experience and innovative UX design environment, helping to shape and drive the UX vision.
Skills and requirements:
- 5 years of work-related experience in interaction & user experience design required.
- Excellent investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (the ability to effectively sell a design idea).
- Ability to understand complex software applications.
- Deep understanding of information design/architecture, gestalt principles, and user psychology.
- A solid team player that can collaborate and communicate design direction and decisions effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Ability to utilize the most effective user research methods to gain the most powerful insights.
- Can drive discovery sessions to uncover gaps and solve the most impactful user problems.
- Ability to create journey maps, affinity boards, experience maps, mockups and flows, and rapid prototypes.
- Ability to design user-experiences from low-fidelity sketches to hi-fidelity visuals.
- Ability to communicate detailed design specs to internal teams.
- Validate and sign-off on quality and proper translation from design specs to the final product.
- Can establish benchmarks to determine improvement index
- Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self-motivated individual who can work with minimal direction.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design or related area required. A combination of education and experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
- Strong work portfolio that demonstrates the role you played on each project, the problems that were solved, and the impact the project had on the business.
- Experience with cross-platform design (Web & Mobile).
- Knowledge of Design Systems (such as Material Design), Front-end Frameworks, and industry standard Interaction Patterns.
- Experience in working with a cross-functional team or large-scale software development lifecycle, including agile methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Miro, Figma, Sketch, InVision, Pendo, etc.
- Medical/healthcare experience a plus.
Other Requirements
- Citizenship: all HCHB require applicants to be US citizens or have a green card allowing them to work in the US without being subject to export control restrictions.
- Local to Dallas, TX. or Remote Location
- Ability to travel 15% within the United States
