Sr. UX Designer

What you'll do: 

Our rapidly growing Product & Design organization is seeking an experienced and highly creative Sr. UX/Product Designer with a passion for trading crypto and cutting-edge design innovation. This role will be critical in shaping the next generation of trading experiences across our award-winning trading platform. 

In this role you will: 

• Operate as part of a product-driven agile organization that prioritizes research client feedback and fast iteration 
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering and Marketing to define design and deliver exceptional user experiences 
• Design intuitive elegant interfaces across desktop web and mobile platforms using industry best practices 
• Leverage data user research and feedback loops to validate design decisions and continuously improve UX 
• Lead end-to-end design processes including ideation prototyping high-fidelity mockups and implementation support 
• Partner with Product Management to translate customer insights and business requirements into innovative features 
• Apply a systems-thinking approach to create scalable component-based solutions within our design system 
• Help evolve and maintain our internal design system ensuring consistency and quality across platforms 
• Contribute to a culture of design excellence by mentoring peers sharing feedback and presenting work to stakeholders 
• Stay informed on industry trends in fintech trading and emerging tech—including AI—to drive forward-thinking design 
• Explore AI-powered prototyping and interaction design to help us stay ahead of the curve 

What you'll need: 

• 3–5 years of UX and/or UI design experience in a SaaS environment 
• Strong proficiency in Figma with a robust portfolio showing polished product designs and design system usage 
• Expertise in UX fundamentals including layout spacing hierarchy prototyping journey mapping and conversion-focused flows 
• Experience with scalable design systems and component libraries 
• Ability to design prototype and iterate quickly in response to feedback 
• Comfortable working independently while thriving in a collaborative cross-functional environment 
• Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present ideas and advocate for design decisions 
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma InVision Axure or similar 

Bonus Points for: 

• Hands-on experience creating and managing design systems 
• Familiarity with front-end code including HTML5 CSS and React 
• Experience prototyping with AI tools such as Claude Figma AI or other emerging platforms 

Compensation: 

The salary range for this role will be $110000 - $160000 USD. In addition this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 10%. Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%). 

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.

This role is based in Chicago IL. *There may be remote flexibility for exceptional candidates in the following states: California Colorado Florida Georgia Illinois Indiana Minnesota Missouri Montana New Jersey New York North Carolina Ohio Oregon Pennsylvania South Carolina Texas Utah Vermont Virginia Washington Washington DC Wisconsin. 

Hybrid:

For Chicago-based employees we follow a hybrid work schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. In addition to these weekly remote days we offer: 

• 20 additional flex remote days annually 
• 5 Company Wide Office-Optional weeks tied to major holidays
