Sr Wireless Operations Network Analyst

Primary Duties

1. Monitors Endpoint Tower Coverage Daily and communicates issues to all appropriate parties.

2. Reviews tower coverage maps and provides solutions for gaps, such as Drive-By technology.

3. Identifies tower base station needs for signal coverage.

4. Troubleshoots WMR-related meter reading issues through collaboration with Operations and Revenue Management.

5. Reviews, analyzes, and performs complex analytics and reporting on data obtained from WON devices.

6. Collaborates with CSO on report development/generation.

7. Acts as a liaison between affected departments regarding WMR issues and/or delays (enterprise messaging).

8. Monitors and communicates WMR work status.

9. Performs technical and business analysis on WMR project activities/priorities, special projects, and proposals.

10. Provides a forecast on endpoint battery life expectancy and collaborates with Operations to establish proactive replacement plans.

11. Serves as internal customer contact/support during all phases of WMR work.

12. Supports WON-related device training for Operations.

13. Works with Operations to ensure adequate inventory of devices.

14. Collaborates on future WON projects such as cathodic protection or pressure monitoring.

15. Serves as subject matter expert and provides guidance and support to stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and five years progressively responsible professional experience in the utility industry with exposure to compliance and/or regulatory agencies; or equivalent.

Problem Solving / Independent Judgment:

Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently. Can work with limited supervision by relying on experience and independent judgment. Can interpret procedures and policies to determine the best approach to achieve the desired outcome.

Communication Skills:

Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information. Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to explain technical or complex concepts to individuals.

Numeric Skills:

Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and/or advanced statistical methods.

Computer Skills:

Requires basic computer skills in order to utilize various software applications for developing documents, reports and graphics.

Work Conditions:

Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
