As Lovepop’s Senior 3D Product Designer, your mission is to be an amazing 3D creator and become a subject matter expert within our design team building physical products that bring magical moments to our customers.

Accountabilities

- Create amazing pop-up concepts that will turn into revenue-driving products that resonate with the customer

- Work closely with Illustrators to support the development of new product categories each quarter with sketches, prototypes, and production-ready files

- Readily look at existing Lovepop products and engineering to identify and lead product improvements

- Lead and put into action material innovation thru market research with the team

- Ensure all 3D files are consistent, clean and understandable to be passed to illustration counterparts (open communication for any issues/opportunities with illustration colleagues)

- Inspire, coach, give US consumer context to the 3D design colleagues in Vietnam

- Flexible to think outside the box and rework engineering that is not coming to life as expected

- Utilize Rhino 7, the Adobe Suite and a laser cutter

- Be open to feedback on your designs, able defend the design choices you make, and successfully work through pivots in design direction

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a design field, industrial design or equivalent experience

- 5+ years of 3D design experience, ideally in consumer product industry; candidates with more years of experience and relevant expertise are encouraged to apply and may be considered for more senior level position 

- Strong understanding of consumer point of view and experience designing a product for mass production

- Experience in Rhino is a must

- Clear communicator, both written and verbal, with ability to relate cross-culturally with design and production focused colleagues based in Vietnam

- Strong collaborator with design counterparts

- Ability to work in a remote environment, including having a home office space for a desk-top laser cutter (requiring a large desk space and a window for venting)
