Campbell Ewald has an immediate opportunity available for a Senior Account Executive in our Detroit, MI location. This position will support a growing team in a diverse range of categories from financial services to healthcare and will provide a great opportunity for resume growth under the guidance of a seasoned team.
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for maintaining and supporting an efficient working environment for assigned account(s). This person will keep communication channels clear and open among members of the assigned account group, as well as other departments within the agency. This person will also monitor project workflow to ensure work in progress is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Communication
- Communicate effectively in both a verbal and written manner; proofing work of oneself and others
- Maintain direct, timely and appropriate communications with team and/or client through conference reports, status updates, etc.
- Be able to prioritize workload, multi-task projects across several lines of business, and/or elevate appropriate questions to manager when necessary. Working on multiple lines of business requires the ability to manage and shift your daily tasks for each client appropriately, along with ensuring the internal team and your superiors are aware of key deliverables needed for that day.
- Embrace team dynamics and be able to collaborate/lead internally with different departments (media, creative, production) on project needs
- Have a desire to see projects through to completion, problem-solving challenges along the way, but also ask questions and be curious
- Provide mentorship to junior level account team members
-Ideal candidates will have a have minimum 3 years of agency (internship or full time) experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in advertising or a related field.
Agency Operations
- Understand and follow all agency procedures and be able to explain procedures to others on the assigned accounts
Project Coordination
- Coordinate production of client projects with any or all agency resource areas such as creative, production and media
- Manage a range of fully integrated creative work including: social, broadcast, digital and traditional
- Take ownership of projects by managing the day-to-day operations of projects, necessary revisions and approvals, inclusive of maintaining financial records, directed by account management team
- Develop production schedules and timelines for creative projects that balance client and agency needs
- Think through implications and develop next steps during meetings, conversations or whenever project parameters change
- Take ownership for team communication; keep entire team informed of project status and/or changes
- Show attention to detail in project management; ensure team’s action items are completed
Client Accountability
- Support AD and AS as needed to build rapport and credibility with client based upon trust and expert counsel
- Gain a thorough understanding of the client’s business and industry, by managing competitive reporting and monitoring industry news/updates
- Respond quickly and effectively to client questions, requests and needs
