Sr. Accountant

The Accounting team plays a critical role in defining and driving strategic and financial improvements and processes across the company.  As a Senior Accountant you will report to the Accounting Manager and play an essential role in standing up and maintaining best-in-practice standards as an in-charge business process owner for our month end close, financial reporting and technical accounting. This position will be extremely pivotal in the day to day accounting operations and supporting the scalability of a rapidly growing organization.

What you’ll do

• As an instrumental member of the month-end close, you will help shape the final workflows necessary to close the books within a consolidated time frame.  
• Work collaboratively across teams, providing actionable insights and impactful data that will drive optimal business decisions
• Gain exposure and lead a variety of areas including compliance related reporting, international accounting, revenue, analytical reporting, and building structure where needed within the team
• Add value to to a growing lean and diverse team by bringing your technical know how and drive for identifying risks, implementing controls, and developing proper process documentation 
• Key role in preparation for the adoption of a SOX framework and contribute to the success of annual financial statement audits, as well as periodic statutory audits
• Coach and develop junior team members 
• Perform special projects or other duties as requested

About you

• 3+ years of experience as an accounting professional
• Comfort in a fast-paced startup environment and efficient at time-management as well as stellar organizational skills
• Communicates effectively with the various business partners and ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partners
• Experience with international entities, including billing, reconciliations, compliance and intercompany transactions
• Strong accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP & Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience
• A plus, but not required: CPA License, or in progress; Big 4 firm experience; knowledge of and familiarity with ASC 606; experience working in Netsuite ERP.
