We’re Looking For A: Senior Accountant who accurately and in a timely manner, be responsible for day to day accounting job duties and responsibilities such as recording various accruals and allocations, preparing journal entries, maintaining and updating templates, closing the books, preparing accurate reconciliations, and analyzing operational performance, etc.
Location: Woodland Hills, CA or Remote
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain accuracy of various accruals and prepaid expenses, including various advertising and other fees.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in support of estimates.
- Assist in the recording and reconciliation of various bank and credit card activities.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and roll forwards.
- Assist in the development and improvement of workflows.
- Work with AP to ensure timely payments to all vendors.
Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):
- Ability to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency and keep to deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills including knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong Excel Skills: V/H/X Lookup, SUMIFS, Pivots, and other formulas.
- Comfortable with working in, and connecting, large data sets from various sources.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid team player with a strong work ethic.
- Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment, with minimal supervision.
Required: - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in roles of increasing responsibility in accounting, audit or tax.
- ERP System Experience, such as Oracle or NetSuite is a plus.
Preferred: - Direct-Response / E-commerce experience preferred
- Experience with Blackline, Floqast, GL close tools
- Experience identifying and driving cost savings
- Experience monitoring capitalized software development costs
- CPA preferred
$72,500 - $100,000, annual & monthly KPI bonus potential, depending upon experience
